Abnormal Coronary Vasomotion in Patients With Suspected Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) In patients with chest pain and/or shortness of breath coronary artery disease (CAD) is suspected depending on the pattern of symptoms and the electrocardiogram (ECG). Coronary angiography is the method of choice to verify this suspicion. If the patient coronary arteries on coronary angiography are totally normal, one can only speculate if the patients' discomfort is from the heart or not. A possibility to get further information about the healthiness of the coronary arteries is the acetylcholine test (ACH-test). When injecting this natural, body produced-substance into the coronary arteries one can test if the vessels coronary spasm which can be the reason for the patient's symptoms. The investigators therefore use this test in this study to look for coronary spasm in patients with suspected CAD but normal coronary arteries. In case of a positive test, the patient profits from having found a cause for his/her symptoms making treatment with special tablets possible. Furthermore, the investigators want to analyze blood samples of every patient to look for signs of inflammation that seem to be linked with coronary spasms. On the basis of these results the ACH-test could probably be avoided in the future.

The Role of Vocal Rest After Removal of Benign Lesions From Vocal Cord The accepted recommendation after removal of vocal cord lesion is voice rest.This recommendation leads to great tension among the patients, loss of working days and need to practice speech therapy.The investigators hypothesize that voice rest after surgery does not affect the quality of the patient's voice. The investigators will divide the patients into 2 groups: the first group will be instructed for a postoperative voice rest and the second group will not. Later the investigators will compare the results and conclude whether voice rest had any significance.

Effect of Red Blood Cell Survival on a Commonly Used Diabetes Lab Test-HbA1c Prevention of complications in veterans with diabetes depends heavily on assessment of blood glucose and HbA1c. The HbA1c is a blood test that measures the exposure of hemoglobin (Hb) to a person's average blood glucose over the lifespan of a red blood cell (RBC). The test is heavily relied upon as a measure of blood glucose control. It is normally assumed that all people (those with and without diabetes) have a narrow range of red blood cell survival. It has been recently shown that this is not a valid assumption. A more precise test of red blood cell survival, using a biotin label method, demonstrated a substantial difference of red blood cell survival among otherwise normal people. There is sufficient difference in red blood cell survival to alter the estimate of glycemic control from the HbA1c test by as much as 30 per cent. This introduces concern that HbA1c values do not mean the same thing in a significant number of people. Although the evidence is clear that there is variation in RBC survival among people, attributing this variation to differences between individuals depends on answering several simple questions which surprisingly remain unanswered: whether RBC survival is stable over time within an individual and whether blood glucose control affects its stability. Therefore, the goal of the proposed studies is to define these characteristics.

Study of 89Zr-DFO-MSTP2109A in Patients With Prostate Cancer The purpose of this study is to see if a new diagnostic research agent named 89Zr-DFO-MSTP2109A can show prostate cancer tumors on a PET scan; as well as see how long 89Zr-DFO-MSTP2109A lasts in the blood when given in small amounts. DFO-MSTP2109A is an antibody that works against STEAP1 - found on the surface of prostate cancer cells. Attached to the DFO-MSTP2109A is a radioactive material called 89ZR, which allows it to be imaged by a PET scanner. The results of this study may help researchers know whether 89Zr-DFO-MSTP2109A can be used as a diagnostic agent for finding prostate cancer that have STEAP1 on its surface with a PET scanner. The reason why identifying STEAP1 on prostate cancer cells is that new therapies are being developed to target STEAP1 prostate cancer cells.
